As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) I get to see babies being blessed all the time (especially in Rexburg. I'm surrounded by young growing LDS families). I think there is nothing sweeter than a beautiful baby dressed in white and receiving a blessing for the new life that is ahead of them. I had the opportunity to take a few photos of my niece and son on each of their blessing days. I didn't have my camera yet when my daughter was blessed but I was able to snap a few pics with my phone a couple days after her blessing.
My wonderful mother made all her grandbabies a comfy cozy afghan (we call them squishy blankets at our house because the yarn is so soft and squishable). She also made the beautiful christening dresses for my daughter and my niece. And she ended up purchasing my little boy's outfit, but it is no less perfect. I'm hoping to one day get their little outfits into shadow boxes with their pictures and a few notes from their blessings.
